The Bun Shop and Battlefield Hobbies will be hosting Bun-in-Grad 2022, a 100-point MW competition, on 7th & 8th May 2022 at Battlefield Hobbies, South March, Daventry, NN11 4PH, run by Graham Klaka.

We feel that the MW points have some issues for competition play, so BIG 2022 will be using an extensive set of points changes with respect to the points in BF books (There are only a few minor changes from BIG 2021, with the addition of the Romanians). The new MW compilation book should be released in February. We will check that there are no surprises in that and then distribute the BIG 2022 points to players.

We understand we probably have not got everything right yet, this is a work in progress, so your feedback, whether before, during or after the event is much appreciated.

Event Details

£30 per player including lunch.

100 points Mid War Flames of War, with BIG points amendments.

There will be 5 games, 3 on Saturday & 2 on Sunday, games will be 2.5 hours each.

Missions will be decided using the Extended Battle Plans matrix in the latest mission’s pack, with the dice roll to determine the mission announced by the organiser before the start of each round, before stances are announced (this is to limit mission repetition).

The Flames of War 8-1 scoring system will be used, with ties being decided on head-to-head, wins, then countback.

Forces from any official source published prior to 17th April 2022, to give us time to check if any amendments to new books are required (if you are unsure whether something is valid, please ask). You should bring a copy of your list including BIG unit points, for your opponent to view before the game (if you have any issues with this, please contact the competition organiser).

Army lists should be sent to grahamklaka@googlemail.com no later than Friday 29th April 2022. If your list is on a spreadsheet (I have attached an example of a late war list, in the excel format I use) or text document, please make sure you label your units clearly and show where cards are allocated. If you prefer to use Forces of War, you can create your list in forces and explain the points changes in a covering email, if you do this make sure you mark the correct BIG points, and how cards are allocated, on the copy that you have to exchange with your opponent. If you have any problems with this, feel free to ask, we will help.
