The Bun Shop and Battlefield Hobbies will be hosting Bun-in-Grad 2023, a 101-point MW competition, on 29th & 30th April 2023 at Battlefield Hobbies, South March, Daventry, NN11 4PH, run by Graham Klaka.

36 Spaces

£30 per player including lunch.

101 points Mid War Flames of War. (Note that this allows one more minefield than 100 points in those missions that have them. Reserves are 41 points). We will be using Battlefronts Dynamic Points. Be sure to select the dynamic points in Forces of War (the relevant button is on the accounts page page).

There will be 5 games, 3 on Saturday & 2 on Sunday, games will be 2.5 hours each.

Missions will be decided using the Extended Battle Plans matrix in the latest missions pack, with the dice roll to determine the mission announced by the organiser before the start of each round (this is to limit mission repetition). Each list will have a fixed stance which is selected when the list is submitted, it must use this stance for each round.

The Flames of War 8-1 scoring system will be used, with ties being decided on head-to-head, wins, then countback.

We will use the latest lesson from the front and missions pack that is released before Friday 21^st April 2023 (date of list submission). You should bring a copy of your list for your opponent to view before the game (if you have any issues with this, please contact the competition organiser). Forces should be built as per normal FoW rules (described in lessons from the front). Battlefront introduced a lot of new vehicles in their recent compilation books, the so-called Mid-War Monsters. We shall allow the use of those that saw combat in 1942-43. These are:

•       Germany: Dicker Max, Sturer Emil, Bunkerflak, Pz IF, Bison

•       Italy: Semovente 90, Semovente (Long) SP

•       USSR: BA-64

To put it another way, you may not use:

•       Germany: Tiger P

•       Hungary: Zrinyi, Turan I, Turan II

•       Romania: TACAM T-60

•       Italy: P26/40

•       USSR: T-43, KV-3, KV-5, IS-85

•       UK: Boarhound, Churchill GC 3”, TOG 2”, T14

•       USA: M27, T14, M6, T55

Army lists should be sent to grahamklaka@googlemail.com no later than Friday 21st April 2023. You must pick a stance for your list when you submit it (defend, manoeuvre or attack), you will use this on the matrix for each round, it cannot be changed. Please show how cards are allocated (you must also note this on the copy that you have to exchange with your opponent). If you have any problems with this, feel free to ask, we will help.
